A possession order was granted on anti-social behaviour and rent arrears at 10B Roxburgh Road.
With the new Conservative administration pursuing a policy of clamping down on tenants who are anti-social and make the lives of others in their neighbourhood a misery, the Town Hall is taking action against those who break the rules.
Cllr Clare Golby, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing, said:
There are minimum standards of behaviour I expect when people are living in property provided by this council. Where these standards aren’t met I have given my teams the go ahead to act as swiftly and decisively as we can, taking action wherever we need to in order to tackle anti-social behaviour in our council housing.
People tell us again and again that they have had enough of people who break the rules.
Council housing is provided for people who need it and respect it. Unfortunately, a tiny minority of people face action like this because they can’t or won’t play their part. These people need to learn that their communities and the taxpayer do not owe them anything and there are serious consequences to their actions, like eviction.
