Since taking control of the Council, the new Conservative administration has moved the annual Christmas light switch-on events to more family-friendly days so that more residents can attend the festivities without the worry of work or school the following day.
Cllr Kris Wilson, Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Business and Regeneration, explained the move:
“It will be wonderful to see the return of our Borough lights events. They are always welcomed by families across the Borough and provide a magical start to the festive season. As a new Conservative administration we are determined to try and make these community events more accessible to residents.
“We very much look forward to welcoming you and your families back and hope that the changes made will mean you can relax and enjoy the fun for longer.”
Instead of being held on Sunday's, the dates for the switch-on in all three of our centres will be as follows:
Nuneaton - Friday 19 November, 6.00pm at the Town Hall
Bedworth – Saturday 20 November, 6.00pm in All Saints Square
Bulkington – Friday 26 November, 6.00pm at Bulkington Village Centre
