Between September and November, the Council will be conducting the annual hedge trimming across the Borough.
Trimming will look quite severe this year, which is in line with the regular programme of harsher cutting every few years to ensure that we can maintain access to public access ways and the safety of residents.
Cllr Julian Gutteridge, Cabinet Member for Health and Environment, has produced a video to explain the cutting programme to residents and reassure people that the work is necessary:
“Although the trimming will look a little severe, this kind of cutting back is required every few years to ensure that the hedges in and around our Borough do not obstruct public highways and byways.
Please do not be alarmed at the severity of the trimming and bear with us if you see our teams working in your local area, many thanks.”
